CHRISTMAS ISLAND

Christmas Island is in the Indian Ocean around 350 kilometers from Java (Indonesia). It got its name when Captain William Mynors of the British East India Company named the island after sighting it on Christmas Day in 1643.

Buddhism is the main religion (21.8%). There are around 15% of Christians, but the annual Evangelical growth rate is 0%
