Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa. It is the 18th largest country in Africa. It is one of the poorest nations in the world. The literacy rate is 36%.



It’s dangerous to travel to Mali due to crime, terrorism, and kidnapping. It ranks 24th in the persecution ranking. 88% of Malians are Sunni Muslims (most practicing animism.) Islamic extremists persecute Christians. The annual Evangelical growth rate is 2.5%.
